Terrazzo Floor Restoration in Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale and the rest of Broward County are full of 1950s to 1970s homes built on terrazzo. Many of those floors have been covered, waxed, or patched over the years. We bring them back with grinding, repair and polishing.

Polished and sealed for Broward's humidity
Uncovering terrazzo in Fort Lauderdale homes
Pulling up old carpet or tile and finding terrazzo underneath is common in Fort Lauderdale, Wilton Manors, Oakland Park, Plantation and Hollywood. What you see at that point, with glue, holes and dull patches, is not what the floor will look like when it is finished.
We grind away the adhesive and the worn surface, fill tack strip holes, repair cracks, then hone and polish the whole floor so it reads as one surface again.
Repair, then polish
Cracks in Broward terrazzo usually follow movement in the slab. We fill them with color-matched epoxy and chips, so the repair blends in.
After repairs, the floor goes through progressively finer diamond grits until it reaches the shine you want, then it is sealed to resist stains.
Care after restoration
Use mats at the doors, dust mop often, and clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Skip vinegar, bleach and acidic cleaners. Wipe up spills like wine, juice and coffee quickly.

Frequently asked questions
Do you serve Fort Lauderdale and Broward County?
Yes. Our South Florida crew works across Broward, including Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Plantation, Wilton Manors and nearby cities.
Can you fix a crack without redoing the whole floor?
Small cracks and holes can be repaired on their own. Because a fresh patch can look newer than the floor around it, we often suggest a light hone and polish of that area so the shine matches. We will tell you on site which option makes sense.
Is it worth restoring terrazzo instead of covering it?
In most cases, yes. Restored terrazzo lasts for decades with basic care. Our cost guide compares restoring with replacing.
